플라스틴(Plastin)은 진핵생물 진화 전반에 걸쳐 보존되고 고등 진핵생물의 대부분 조직에서 발현되는 액틴 결합 단백질 계열입니다. 인간에서는 두 가지 보편적인 플라스틴 이소폼(L 및 T)이 확인되었습니다. 플라스틴 1(Fimbrin으로도 알려짐)은 소장에서 높은 수준으로 특이적으로 발현되는 세 번째 별개의 플라스틴 이소폼입니다. L 이소폼은 조혈 세포 계열에서만 발현되는 반면, T 이소폼은 복제 능력을 가진 고형 조직의 다른 모든 정상 세포(섬유아세포, 내피세포, 상피세포, 멜라닌세포 등)에서 발견되었습니다. 그러나 L-플라스틴은 비조혈 기원의 많은 유형의 악성 인간 세포에서 발견되었는데, 이는 고형 조직에서 종양형성과 함께 그 발현이 유도됨을 시사합니다.
