타겟 유전자 정보 — NFKB1
이 유전자는 26S 프로테아좀에 의해 번역 후 가공을 거쳐 50 kD 단백질을 생성할 수 있는 105 kD 단백질을 인코딩합니다. 105 kD 단백질은 Rel 단백질 특이적 전사 억제제이며, 50 kD 단백질은 NF-kappa-B (NFKB) 단백질 복합체의 DNA 결합 서브유닛입니다. NFKB는 사이토카인, 산화성 자유 라디칼, 자외선 조사, 세균 또는 바이러스 산물과 같은 다양한 세포 내외 자극에 의해 활성화되는 전사 조절자입니다. 활성화된 NFKB는 핵으로 이동하여 다양한 생물학적 기능에 관여하는 유전자 발현을 자극합니다. NFKB의 부적절한 활성화는 여러 염증성 질환과 관련이 있으며, NFKB의 지속적인 억제는 부적절한 면역 세포 발달 또는 세포 성장 지연으로 이어집니다. NFKB는 바이러스 감염에 대한 즉각적인 초기 반응의 중요한 조절자입니다. 대체 스플라이싱은 서로 다른 아이소폼을 인코딩하는 여러 전사 변이체를 생성하며, 이 중 적어도 하나는 단백질 분해적으로 가공됩니다.
