유전자 개요
WNT10A 유전자는 분비형 신호 단백질을 암호화하는 구조적으로 관련된 WNT 유전자 계열의 구성원입니다. 이 단백질들은 암 발생(oncogenesis) 및 배아 발생(embryogenesis) 동안 세포 운명 조절을 포함한 여러 발달 과정에 관여하는 것으로 나타났습니다. 이 유전자는 전골수성 백혈병(promyelocytic leukemia) 및 버킷 림프종(Burkitt’s lymphoma) 세포주에서 강하게 발현됩니다. 또한, WNT6 유전자와 함께 대장암(colorectal cancer) 세포주에서 강하게 동시 발현됩니다. WNT10A 유전자의 과발현은 WNT-베타-카테닌-TCF 신호 전달 경로 활성화를 통해 암 발생(carcinogenesis)에서 중요한 역할을 할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자와 WNT6 유전자는 염색체 2q35 영역에 군집해 있습니다.
