유전자 개요

혈관확장제 자극 인단백질(VASP)은 Ena-VASP 단백질 계열의 구성원이다. Ena-VASP 계열 단백질들은 E/DFPPPPXD/E 모티프를 포함하는 단백질과 결합하는 N-말단 EHV1 도메인을 포함하며, Ena-VASP 단백질을 국소 접착(focal adhesions)으로 표적화한다. 단백질의 중간 부위에는 SH3 및 WW 도메인을 포함하는 단백질과 결합하는 프롤린 풍부 도메인이 있다. C-말단 EVH2 도메인은 사량체화(tetramerization)를 매개하고 G-액틴(G actin)과 F-액틴(F actin) 모두와 결합한다. VASP는 필라멘트 액틴 형성과 관련이 있으며 세포 부착 및 이동에서 광범위한 역할을 할 것으로 보인다. VASP는 인테그린-세포외 기질 상호작용을 조절하는 세포 내 신호 전달 경로에도 관여할 수 있다. VASP는 고리형 뉴클레오타이드 의존성 키나아제(kinase)인 PKA와 PKG에 의해 조절된다.
