유전자 개요

열충격 단백질 90(heat shock protein 90, HSP90) 계열에 속하는 미토콘드리아 샤페론 단백질(mitochondrial chaperone protein)을 암호화한다. 암호화된 단백질은 ATPase 활성을 지니며 종양 괴사 인자 I형(tumor necrosis factor type I)과 상호작용하고, 세포 스트레스 반응 조절에 관여하는 것으로 추정된다. 대체 스플라이싱(alternate splicing)을 통해 여러 전사체 변이체(transcript variants)가 생성된다.
