유전자 개요
TCL1 유전자는 사람에게서 과발현될 경우 성숙 T 세포 백혈병 발병에 관여하는 것으로 나타났습니다. 이 백혈병은 염색체 재배열을 통해 TCL1 유전자가 T 세포 항원 수용체 (T cell antigen receptor, TCR)-알파 또는 TCR-베타 조절 요소에 가까이 위치하게 되어 발생합니다. 정상 T 세포에서 TCL1은 분화 후기 세포가 아닌 CD4-/CD8- 세포에서 발현됩니다. TCL1은 세포 생존 키나아제 (kinase) AKT의 공동 활성 인자로 기능합니다.
