TACC3 유전자는 transforming acidic coiled-coil protein 계열 구성원을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 유사분열 방추체의 안정화에 기여할 수 있는 운동 방추체 단백질이다. 또한 특정 암세포의 성장 및 분화에도 역할을 할 수 있다.
