유전자 개요

이 단백질은 다양한 프로모터의 GC가 풍부한 모티프에 결합하는 징크핑거 전사인자(zinc finger transcription factor)이다. 해당 단백질은 세포 분화, 세포 성장, 세포자멸사(apoptosis), 면역 반응, DNA 손상 반응, 염색질(chromatin) 재구성을 포함한 여러 세포 과정에 관여한다. 인산화(phosphorylation), 아세틸화(acetylation), 당화(glycosylation), 단백질 분해 처리와 같은 번역 후 변형은 이 단백질의 활성에 상당한 영향을 미치며, 이 단백질은 활성 인자 또는 억제 인자로 작용할 수 있다. 이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화하는 세 가지 전사 변이체가 확인되었다.
