유전자 개요
이 유전자는 핵 호르몬 수용체(nuclear hormone receptor)의 NR1 아형에 속하는 DNA 결합 전사인자(DNA-binding transcription factor) 단백질을 암호화한다. 해당 단백질의 정확한 기능은 알려져 있지 않다. 하지만 유사 마우스 유전자에 대한 연구에 따르면, 이 유전자는 림프 기관 발생(lymphoid organogenesis)에 필수적일 수 있으며 흉선 발생(thymopoiesis)에서 중요한 조절 역할을 할 수 있다. 또한, 마우스 연구는 이 유전자가 지정하는 단백질이 Fas 리간드(Fas ligand) 및 IL2 발현을 억제할 수 있음을 시사한다. 이 유전자에는 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사 변이체(transcript variant)가 발견되었다.
