유전자 개요
이 유전자는 게놈 안정성에 중요한 헬리카아제(helicase) 단백질을 암호화한다. 또한, 암호화된 단백질은 RAD51을 단일 가닥 DNA(ssDNA)에서 밀어냄으로써 비정상적인 상동 재조합(homologous recombination)을 방지한다. 이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 세 개의 전사 변이체(transcript variant)가 발견되었다.
