유전자 개요
QSOX1 유전자는 티오레독신(thioredoxin)과 ERV1 도메인을 포함하는 단백질을 암호화한다. 이들 도메인은 오랜 역사를 지닌 두 유전자 계열의 구성원이다. 섬유아세포(fibroblast)가 증식 주기를 벗어나 휴지기(quiescence)로 진입하기 시작할 때 이 유전자의 발현이 유도되므로, 이 유전자가 성장 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 생각된다. 이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 두 가지 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 두 개의 전사 변이체(transcript variant)가 발견되었다.
