유전자 개요
이 유전자는 세포 외 기질(초점 접착)에 대한 세포 부착 부위에서 액틴-막(membrane) 부착에 관여하는 세포골격 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 유전자에 대해 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 대안적 스플라이싱 전사체 변이체가 기술되었다. 이들 아이소폼은 서로 다른 발현 패턴을 보이며, 서로 다른 생화학적 및 생리학적 특성을 가진다 (PMID:9054445).
