유전자 개요

이 유전자는 인터페론 베타 유전자 발현의 억제자로 작용하는 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 인터페론 베타 유전자 프로모터의 PRDI(positive regulatory domain I element)에 특이적으로 결합한다. 바이러스 유도 시 이 유전자의 전사가 증가한다. 서로 다른 아이소폼을 암호화하는 두 개의 대체 접합 전사 변이체가 보고되었다.
