유전자 개요
이 유전자는 인지질 분해 효소 A2 수용체(phospholipase A2 receptor)를 지정한다. 암호화된 단백질은 막횡단형(transmembrane)과 용해성(soluble) 두 가지 형태 모두로 존재할 가능성이 있다. 막횡단형 수용체는 인지질 분해 효소 A2의 제거에 관여하여 그 작용을 억제할 수 있다. 이 유전자좌의 다형성(polymorphisms)은 특발성 막성 신증(idiopathic membranous nephropathy) 감수성과 관련이 있는 것으로 보고되었다. 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoforms)을 암호화하는 대안적 스플라이싱 전사체 변이체(alternatively spliced transcript variants)들이 확인되었다.
