유전자 개요
이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 해당과정(glycolytic pathway)에서 3-포스포글리세르산(3-phosphoglycerate, 3-PGA)과 2-포스포글리세르산(2-phosphoglycerate, 2-PGA) 간의 가역적 반응을 촉매하는 뮤타아제(mutase)이다. 이 유전자에서는 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 두 가지 전사체 변이체(transcript variant)이 확인되었다.
