유전자 개요
이 유전자는 세포자멸사(apoptosis)의 음성 조절자로 기능하는 사멸 효과기 도메인 함유 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 단백질 키나아제 C(protein kinase C)의 내인성 기질(substrate)이다. 또한 제2형 당뇨병(diabetes mellitus)에서 과발현되어 포도당 흡수 시 인슐린 저항성에 기여할 수 있다. 대안적 스플라이싱은 여러 전사체 변이를 생성한다.
