유전자 개요

이 유전자는 종양 억제 유전자이다. 해당 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 진핵생물 번역 개시 인자 4A1(eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A1)에 결합하여 RNA 결합을 방해함으로써 그 기능을 억제한다. 대체 스플라이싱(Alternative splicing)을 통해 여러 전사체 변이체가 생성된다.
