유전자 개요

PDCD1(programmed cell death protein 1)은 활성화된 T 세포에서 발현되는 면역 억제성 수용체(receptor)로, 이펙터 CD8+ T 세포를 포함한 T 세포 기능 조절에 관여하며 CD4+ T 세포가 조절 T 세포(regulatory T cell)로 분화하도록 촉진할 수 있다. 흑색종을 비롯한 여러 종양에서 발현되어 항종양 면역에 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났고, 자가면역을 방지하는 데 기여하는 한편 효과적인 항종양 및 항미생물 면역을 억제하는 데에도 관여할 수 있다.
