유전자 개요

이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 발달 과정에서 세포 운명의 결정에 관여한다. MDM2에 의해 프로테아좀(proteasome)-의존적 방식으로 분해가 유도되는 이 단백질은 막(membrane)-결합 단백질로서 EPS15, LNX1, NOTCH1과 연관되는 것으로 나타났다. 대체 스플라이싱(alternative splicing)은 여러 전사체 변이체(transcript variant)를 생성한다.
