유전자 개요
NGFI-A 결합 단백질(NAB) 계열 구성원을 지정하는 이 유전자는 세포핵에서 작용하여 일부 EGR(early growth response) 전사 활성인자 계열이 유도하는 전사를 억제한다. NAB 단백질은 보존된 N-말단 도메인을 통해 다른 EGR 또는 NAB 단백질과 호모- 또는 헤테로-다량체화할 수 있으며, 두 개의 부분적으로 상보적인 C-말단 도메인을 통해 전사를 억제한다. 지정된 단백질에 의한 전사 억제는 뉴클레오솜 리모델링 및 탈아세틸화 (NuRD) 복합체와의 상호작용을 통해 부분적으로 매개된다.
