유전자 개요

MIG는 면역 조절 및 염증 과정에 관여하는 분비 단백질을 암호화하는 케모카인(chemokine) 상위계열에 속하는 항균(antimicrobial) 유전자입니다. 암호화된 단백질은 T 세포 이동(T cell trafficking)에 관여하는 것으로 여겨지며, C-X-C 모티프 케모카인 3(C-X-C motif chemokine 3)에 결합합니다. 또한 림프구(lymphocyte)에 대한 화학유인물질(chemoattractant)로 작용하지만 호중구(neutrophil)에는 작용하지 않습니다.
