유전자 개요
이 유전자가 암호화하는 단백질은 근육 특이적, 성장인자 유도성, 스트레스 유도성 유전자를 다수 활성화하는 DNA 결합 전사인자(transcription factor)입니다. 이 단백질은 호모다이머 또는 헤테로다이머로 작용할 수 있으며, 근육 발달, 신경 분화, 세포 성장 조절, 세포자멸사(apoptosis)를 포함한 여러 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 이 유전자의 결함은 상염색체 우성 관상동맥 질환 1형과 심근경색증(myocardial infarction)의 원인이 될 수 있습니다.
