유전자 개요
LAG3는 면역글로불린 슈퍼패밀리(Ig superfamily)에 속하는 림프구 활성화 단백질 3(lymphocyte-activation protein 3)을 암호화하며, 4개의 세포외 Ig 유사 도메인(Ig-like domain)을 가진다. LAG3 유전자는 8개의 엑손(exon)으로 구성되어 있다. 서열 데이터와 엑손/인트론(exon/intron) 구성, 염색체상 위치는 모두 LAG3가 CD4와 밀접하게 연관되어 있음을 보여준다.
