유전자 개요
ITGA9 유전자는 알파 인테그린(alpha integrin) 단백질을 암호화한다. 인테그린은 알파와 베타 사슬로 구성된 이량체(heterodimeric) 막 단백질로, 세포-세포 및 세포-기질 부착에 관여한다. 이 유전자가 지정하는 단백질은 베타 1 사슬과 결합 시 VCAM1, 사이토탁틴(cytotactin), 골표인(osteopontin) 수용체로 작용하는 인테그린을 형성한다. 이 유전자의 발현은 소세포폐암에서 상향 조절되는 것으로 나타났다.
