유전자 개요
이 유전자는 인터페론 조절 전사 인자(IRF) 계열의 구성원인 인터페론 조절 인자 7(interferon regulatory factor 7)을 지정한다. 이 유전자는 인터페론 베타 사슬 유전자를 포함한 바이러스 유도성 세포 유전자의 전사 활성화에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있다. IRF7의 유도성 발현은 주로 림프 조직에 국한된다. 이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 한다.
