유전자 개요
IL2RA(인터루킨 2 수용체 알파)는 베타 사슬(IL2RB), 공통 감마 사슬(IL2RG)과 함께 고친화성 인터루킨 2(interleukin 2) 수용체를 구성하며, IL2RA 동종이량체는 저친화성, IL2RB 동종이량체는 중간 친화성 수용체를 형성한다. 본래 막 관통 단백질이지만 세포외 단백질분해(proteolysis)를 통해 가용성 형태가 생성되며, 이 유전자의 돌연변이는 인터루킨 2 수용체 알파 결핍과 관련된다. 중증 코로나19(COVID-19) 환자와 여러 암종 환자에서 혈중 IL2R 수치가 유의하게 상승하고, 특정 IL2RA·IL2RB 다형성은 폐암(lung cancer) 위험과 연관되어 있다.
