유전자 개요

IFNGR1은 감마 인터페론(gamma interferon) 수용체의 리간드 결합 알파 사슬을 암호화하며, 인간 인터페론-감마 수용체는 IFNGR1과 IFNGR2로 이루어진 이종이량체(heterodimer)이다. IFNGR1의 유전적 변이는 헬리코박터 파일로리(Helicobacter pylori) 감염 감수성과 연관되어 있다. 또한 IFNGR1의 결함은 가족성 파종성 비정형 미코박테리아 감염(familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection)으로도 알려진 멘델형 미코박테리아 질환 감수성(mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease)의 원인이 된다.
