유전자 개요

HAVCR1이 암호화하는 단백질은 인간 A형 간염 바이러스(human hepatitis A virus, HHAV)와 TIMD4 모두에 대한 막(membrane) 수용체(receptor)로, 천식(asthma)과 알레르기 질환의 조절에 관여할 수 있다. 참조 유전체(reference genome)는 HHAV 혈청양성 개체에서 아토피(atopy)를 방어하는 MTTVP 아미노산 절편을 보유한 대립유전자(allele)를 나타낸다. 이 단백질은 에볼라 바이러스(Ebola virus), 마버그 바이러스(Marburg virus), 뎅기 바이러스(Dengue virus), 지카 바이러스(Zika virus) 등 여러 바이러스의 수용체이며, SARS-CoV-2 및 기타 코로나바이러스의 잠재적 진입 인자이기도 하다.
