유전자 개요
이 유전자는 GRB2/Sem5/Drk 계열 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 백혈구 특이적 단백질-티로신 키나아제(leukocyte-specific protein-tyrosine kinase) 신호 전달에 관여하는 어댑터 유사 단백질이다. GRB2-related adaptor protein(GRAP)과 유사하게, 이 단백질은 두 개의 SH3 도메인으로 둘러싸인 SH2 도메인을 포함한다. 또한 SH3 도메인을 통해 GRB2-associated binding protein 1(GAB1) 및 SLP-76 백혈구 단백질(LCP2)과 같은 다른 단백질과 상호작용한다. 이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)를 암호화하는 여러 대체 접합 전사 변이체(alternatively spliced transcript variant)가 발견되었다.
