유전자 개요
GATA2 유전자는 표적 유전자의 프로모터(promoter) 영역에서 결합하는 컨센서스 뉴클레오타이드 서열로 명명된 GATA 계열 징크-핑거 전사 인자(transcription factor)의 구성원을 암호화한다. 암호화된 단백질은 조혈 및 내분비 세포 계열의 발달과 증식에 관련된 유전자의 전사(transcription) 조절에 필수적인 역할을 수행한다. 대안적 스플라이싱(alternative splicing)은 여러 전사체 변이체를 생성한다.
