유전자 개요
GAS6는 세포 증식 자극에 관여하는 것으로 여겨지는 감마-카복시글루탐산(gamma-carboxyglutamic acid, Gla) 함유 단백질을 암호화한다. 여러 암종에서 자주 과발현되며 불량한 예후 표지자(prognostic marker)로 관련성이 제시되어 왔다. 또한 단백질 수치 상승은 정맥 혈전색전성 질환, 전신 홍반 루푸스(systemic lupus erythematosus), 만성 신부전, 전자간증 등 다양한 질환과도 연관된다.
