유전자 개요

이 유전자는 ATP-의존적인 방식으로 부분적으로 풀린 3’ 꼬리 기질을 선호하고 부분적인 RNA/DNA 및 RNA/RNA 이중나선도 풀 수 있는 DNA 풀림 효소 중 하나를 암호화한다. 이 효소는 이질 핵 RNA 결합 단백질(heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins) 계열의 구성원이며 Ras 신호 전달 경로(Ras signal transduction pathway)의 요소이기도 하다. Ras-GTPase-activating protein과 SH3 도메인을 통해 결합함으로써 특정적으로 이 단백질에 결합한다. 이 유전자의 몇 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변이형이 기술되었으나, 이 변이형들 중 일부의 전체 길이는 결정되지 않았다.
