유전자 개요
이 유전자는 전사 인자(transcription factor) 중 forkhead 계열 단백질을 암호화한다. 제브라피쉬와 생쥐에서 유사 유전자가 운동성 섬모(motile cilia) 생산을 조절하는 유전자의 전사를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 생쥐 오솔로그(ortholog)는 또한 좌우 비대칭 결정에서도 기능을 한다. 이 유전자의 다형성(polymorphism)은 전신 홍반 루푸스(systemic lupus erythematosus) 및 알레르기 비염(allergic rhinitis)과 관련이 있다.
