FGL1(fibrinogen-like 1)은 피브리노겐(fibrinogen) 계열에 속하는 단백질로, 피브리노겐 베타·감마 소단위체의 카르복실 말단과 상동성을 가지며 피브리노겐 계열 단백질에 보존된 네 개의 시스테인(cysteine)을 포함한다. 다만 혈소판 결합 부위, 가교 영역, 트롬빈(thrombin) 민감 부위가 없어 피브린(fibrin) 응고 형성에는 관여하지 않으며, 간세포암종(hepatocellular carcinoma) 발생에 역할을 할 가능성이 제기된다. 이 유전자에서는 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 네 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체가 확인된다.
