유전자 개요

FGF15는 섬유아세포 성장 인자 수용체(fibroblast growth factor receptor) 결합 활성과 성장 인자(growth factor) 활성을 가질 것으로 예측되며, 담즙산 생합성 과정의 음성 조절, 신경능선(neural crest) 세포 이동, 세균에 대한 반응 등 여러 과정의 상위 단계에서 또는 그 과정 내에서 작용한다. 세포외 영역에 위치하고 세포질(cytoplasm) 및 세포외 공간에서 활성을 나타낼 것으로 예측되며, 뇌, 인두궁 내배엽(branchial arch endoderm), 배아 외배엽, 중신(mesonephros), 감각기관을 포함한 여러 구조에서 발현된다. 인간 FGF19(fibroblast growth factor 19)와 오솔로그(ortholog) 관계에 있다.
