유전자 개요
ERAP1(ERAP1)이 암호화하는 단백질은 HLA class I 결합 전구체를 절단하여 MHC class I 분자에 제시될 수 있도록 돕는 아미노펩티다아제(aminopeptidase)이다. 이 단백질은 단위체(monomer)로 작용하거나 ERAP2와 이종이량체(heterodimer)를 형성하며, 안지오텐신 II(angiotensin II)를 불활성화하여 혈압 조절에도 관여할 수 있다. 해당 유전자에서는 서로 다른 두 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 세 가지 전사체 변이체(transcript variant)이 확인되었다.
