유전자 개요

이 유전자는 EPS8 패밀리 구성원을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 PH 도메인과 SH3 도메인을 하나씩 포함한다. EGFR 경로의 일부로 기능하지만, 정확한 역할은 아직 규명되지 않았다. 다른 유기체에서 매우 유사한 단백질은 Ras에서 Rac으로의 신호 전달 및 성장인자(growth factor) 매개 액틴 리모델링에 관여한다. 이 유전자의 대체 전사 스플라이스 변이체가 관찰되었으나 철저히 특성화되지는 않았다.
