유전자 개요
이 유전자는 ephrin-B 계열 리간드(ligand)에 대한 수용체(receptor)를 암호화한다. Ephrin 수용체는 막에 결합하는 glycosylphosphatidylinositol(GPI) 결합 또는 막을 가로지르는(transmembrane) 단백질인 ephrin A와 ephrin B 리간드와 상호작용하여 신경계 발달 등 다양한 과정에 관여한다. 이들은 또한 수용체 티로신 키나아제(receptor tyrosine kinase, RTK) 계열 중 가장 큰 하위 집단을 구성한다.
