유전자 개요
이 유전자는 상피 조직 특이적인 ETS 계열 전사인자(transcription factor)를 암호화한다. 케라티노사이트(keratinocyte)의 말단 분화 후기 단계를 조절하는 역할 외에도, 침샘 및 전립선과 같은 조직에 존재하는 여러 상피 조직 특이적 유전자를 조절하는 것으로 보인다. 아미노 말단에 음성 조절 도메인(negative regulatory domain)을 가지고 있어 DNA에 대한 친화도가 매우 낮다. 이 유전자는 유방암(breast cancer)에서 종양 억제성 전사인자(tumor suppressive transcription factor)로 관련되어 있다.
