유전자 개요

이 유전자는 GTP(구아노신 삼인산)-결합 번역 신장 인자 계열의 구성원을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 단백질 합성에 필수적인 인자이다. 리보솜의 A-부위에서 P-부위로 새로 합성된 단백질 사슬의 GTP-의존적 전위를 촉진한다. 또한 이 단백질은 EF-2 키나아제에 의한 인산화에 의해 완전히 비활성화된다.
