다이나민(Dynamin) 단백질은 GTP-결합 단백질(GTP-binding proteins)의 아류 중 하나입니다. 이 단백질들은 분자의 N-말단 부분에서 상당한 서열 유사성을 공유하며, 이 부분에는 GTPase 도메인이 포함되어 있습니다. 다이나민은 미세소관(microtubules)과 연관되어 있으며, 세포내이입(endocytosis) 및 세포 이동성과 같은 세포 과정과 골흡수(bone resorption)와 같은 특정 활동을 동반하는 막(membrane)의 변화에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 또한, 다이나민은 액틴(actin) 및 다른 세포골격 단백질에 결합하는 많은 단백질과 결합합니다. 다이나민은 GTPase 활성을 촉진하는 자체 조립 과정도 수행할 수 있습니다. 서로 다른 단백질을 암호화하는 다섯 개의 대체 스플라이싱 전사체(alternatively spliced transcripts)가 기술되었습니다.
