유전자 개요

DCTN1은 미세소관(microtubule)과 세포질 다이네인(cytoplasmic dynein)에 결합하는 거대분자 복합체인 다이낙틴(dynactin)의 가장 큰 소단위를 암호화하며, 다이낙틴은 22~150 kD 크기의 10개 소단위로 구성된다. 다이낙틴은 소포체-골지체(ER-to-Golgi) 수송, 리소좀과 엔도좀의 구심성 이동, 방추체 형성, 염색체 이동, 핵 위치 결정, 축삭형성 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여한다. DCTN1의 돌연변이는 원위 유전성 운동신경병증 VIIB형(HMN7B)을 일으키며, 이는 원위 척수연수근위축(dSBMA)으로도 알려져 있다.
