유전자 개요

컴플렉신/시냅핀(complexin/synaphin) 유전자 계열이 암호화하는 단백질들은 시냅스 소포 세포외 유출(synaptic vesicle exocytosis)에 관여하는 세포질 단백질이다. 이 단백질들은 SNAP 수용체(SNAP receptor)의 구성 요소인 신택신(syntaxin)과 결합한다. 본 유전자의 단백질 산물은 SNAP 수용체 복합체(SNAP receptor complex)에 결합하여 이를 붕괴시킴으로써 신경전달물질의 방출을 가능하게 한다.
