유전자 개요
이 유전자가 지정하는 단백질은 혈장에서 발견되며, 고밀도 지질단백질(HDL)에서 다른 지질단백질로의 콜레스테릴 에스터(cholesteryl ester) 이동에 관여한다. 이 유전자 결함은 고알파지질단백혈증 1(hyperalphalipoproteinemia 1, HALP1)의 원인이 된다. 이 유전자에 대해 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화하는 두 개의 전사체 변이체(transcript variant)가 발견되었다.
