유전자 개요

이 유전자는 세포 분열 조절에 중요한 역할을 하는 보존된 단백질을 암호화한다. 이 단백질은 사이클린 B(cyclin B)-결합 CDC2의 탈인산화를 지시하여 유사분열(mitosis) 진입을 유발한다. 또한, p53에 의한 성장 정지를 억제한다. 이 유전자에는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체들이 기술되어 있다.
