유전자 개요
이 단백질은 면역글로불린(immunoglobulin) 계열에 속한다. 제1형 막(membrane) 단백질로, 활성화된 T세포 및 NK세포의 후기 면역 반응에서의 부착 상호작용에 관여할 수 있다. 또한 항원(antigen) 제시 기능에도 관여할 수 있다. 대안적 스플라이싱을 통해 여러 전사체 변이체가 생성되어 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)을 암호화한다.
