유전자 개요
CD82는 전이 억제(metastasis suppressor) 유전자의 산물로, 막횡단 4 슈퍼패밀리(transmembrane 4 superfamily)에 속하는 막당단백질(membrane glycoprotein)입니다. 사람의 여러 암에서 종양이 진행될 때 발현이 감소하는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 프로모터 내의 합의 결합 서열(consensus binding sequence)을 통해 p53에 의해 활성화될 수 있습니다. CD82와 p53의 발현은 강한 상관관계를 보이고, 두 단백질의 발현 소실은 전립선암 환자의 낮은 생존율과 연관되며, 서로 다른 아이소폼(isoform)를 암호화하는 두 가지 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체가 확인되었습니다.
