유전자 개요
CD2가 암호화하는 단백질은 모든 말초혈액 T 세포에서 발견되는 표면 항원(surface antigen)으로, 항원제시세포 표면의 LFA3(CD58)와 상호작용하여 면역 인식을 최적화한다. 해당 유전자의 3’ 인접 서열에서는 유전자자리 조절 영역(locus control region, LCR)이 확인되었다.
