유전자 개요
이 유전자는 G 단백질 연결 수용체(G protein-coupled receptors)와 유사하게 일곱 번의 막 관통 단백질로 예측되는 베타 케모카인 수용체(beta chemokine receptor) 패밀리의 구성원을 암호화한다. 이 유전자는 미성숙 수지상세포(dendritic cells)와 기억 T 세포에서 우선적으로 발현된다. 이 수용체의 리간드(ligand)는 대식세포 염증 단백질 3 알파(macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, MIP-3 alpha)이다. 이 수용체는 B 세포 계열 성숙 및 항원(antigen) 유도 B 세포 분화에 중요하다고 밝혀졌으며, 염증 및 면역 반응 중 수지상세포와 T 세포의 이동 및 모집을 조절할 수 있다. 이 유전자에 대해 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변이체들이 기술된 바 있다.
