유전자 개요
오토파지(autophagy)는 리소좀에 의한 세포질 구획의 대량 분해 과정이다. ATG10은 E2 유사 효소로서, 오토파고좀 형성에 필수적인 두 가지 유비퀴틴(ubiquitin) 유사 변형에 관여한다. 이 변형은 효모 Apg8의 상동체(homolog)인 MAP-LC3(MAP1LC3A)의 용해성 형태를 막 결합 형태로 변형시키고, ATG12-ATG5 접합을 포함한다.
